Ever since I was young, I have been baby obsessed. When I started my career as a family photographer, I knew that I wanted to specialise in newborn photography. This is a real passion of mine. What I adore most about newborn photoshoots is capturing your baby’s precious first moments and expressions from the first days of their life.
Even from that age, you can get a sense of your baby’s personality and I love capturing all the adorable moments from dreamy pouts, tiny little yawns, to wide awake alert moments where your baby is taking in the wonders of this new world they are in! During your newborn photoshoot Dublin, my goal is to capture and translate the essence of your little one, so you can cherish it for many years to come through mesmerising newborn photos.
When you arrive at my newborn photography Dublin studio you will be greeted by a lovely, modern, clean, and welcoming environment. You will find that I look after every little detail so that you and your baby have the best experience with me. I have comfy chairs for you to rest in, as well as delicious coffee, tasty snacks, and refreshing water all ready for you to enjoy in case you get peckish or thirsty.

For your little buddle of joy, I have well stocked toiletries including nappies, baby wipes, and little toys for their comfort and entertainment during their session. My priority during your newborn photography session is the comfort of you and your baby, so we can get the very best results from our newborn photos.
As well as all the comforts, I have quite the collection of beautiful baby photo props, hats, headbands, and lots of other adorable props like baskets, bowls, fabrics and blankets. If there’s something special and personal that you would like to include, for example a blanky, soft toy or family heirloom, please let me know. If not, don’t worry as I really do have all we need for a perfect newborn photography session.
If your little one has older siblings that want to share the experience, they are more than welcome, too! I have lots of entertainment to keep them happy and entertained. There is also a nearby playground in case one parent wants to take the older children to play.
I’ve thought of your whole family when creating my Studio Experience. This is a very special time for your family, so on the day all you need to do is bring yourselves and get ready to create beautiful memories together.

When should I get my newborn photography done?
The ideal window for a newborn photoshoot is when your baby is aged between 5 and 12 days old. Newborns are typically very sleepy during the first 12 days after their birth. During these first 12 days, most babies enjoy being in the curly fetal position that they were in during their time the in the womb. Because of this, I am able to gently move your little one into sweet poses to snap the cutest of photos. After a couple of weeks, this is not as easy to do. After the 14 day mark, babies begin to stretch and the poses won’t be as easy to accomplish.
To book, I make a note of your due date and ask you to contact me as soon as your baby is born. As this point, I can confirm a definite date for your session to make sure we catch the 5-12 day window.

When is the best time to book my newborn photoshoot?
The best time to schedule your session is before your little one is born.
This way you can plan for your newborn photoshoot Dublin to take place in the first 2 weeks after the birth. This is the very best window to get the most precious newborn photographs!
My weekly photography slots fill up quickly, so please do book your session in before the birth.
How do I book my newborn photography session without knowing a confirmed due date?
To book, I make a note of your due date so that I have you planned for a newborn photography Dublin session that month. From there, I ask you to contact me once your baby is born and ready to come home. As this point, I can confirm a definitive date for your session to make sure we catch the 5-12 day window from your baby’s arrival.
Once you book your newborn photoshoot session, I’ll send you detailed information with everything you need to know, including scheduling once the baby is here, what you can expect from your session, how to prep yourself and your baby and other helpful insights and tips.
Can I include siblings and family members in the photos during my newborn photoshoot?
Absolutely! Photographing your newest member of the family surrounded by their loved ones is a magical experience for everyone involved.
How long will my newborn photography north Dublin session last?
Your session will take approximately 3 hours. I allow time for pausing for feeding and changing. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable and the pace of our session will be determined by the baby.
My baby is already born, can I still book a Newborn Session?
Yes, of course. If I have an opening in my calendar I am happy to accommodate. For the best newborn pictures, I recommend for the photos to be taken 5-12 days after birth. After that, it is a bit trickier to capture some of the most adorable poses. If you missed this window… fear not! We can still get incredibly cute photos of your newborn which will create lasting memories of their early days of life.
Where will the newborn photoshoot Dublin session take place?
Your session will take place in my private newborn photography north Dublin studio in Ashtown. My Studio is a modern, clean and extremely welcoming space to give you and your baby the best experience. Just bring yourself and your little bundle of joy and I will take care of the rest. My studio is fully stocked with snacks and toiletries to keep you and baby comfortable throughout your session. I also have all the necessary props to create to most gorgeous newborn photos.
Who supplies all the cute props for the baby (e.g. hats/headbands/blankets etc)?
I do! In my studio, I have a varied collection of hats, headbands, wraps and furs that we can play with.
What should we wear for the family pictures?
The most important thing is to feel comfortable so I recommend wearing clothes that you can move freely in. I also recommend soft toned, solid colours, avoiding loud prints and patterns so that the focus is on the baby. If you would like a more traditional look, a black t-shirt is a great choice but I have found that many of my clients like a more modern, light and airy look with soft and muted colours.
